We've Paused Our Operations

Governor Tim Walz has issued an emergency executive order, requiring indoor entertainment venues – such as Crayola Experience – to once again pause operations. As a result, our attraction will be temporarily closed from Nov. 21 through Dec. 18.

We will be extending expiration dates on valid annual passes and valid general admission tickets for 30 days from Nov. 22.

The Crayola Store will remain open at this time. Please see our hours and guest protocols before you visit.

We will communicate our plans to reopen when they are known. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

In the meantime, we invite you to check out Crayola Experience At Home—video-guided, hands-on fun shipped directly to your doorstep (including a limited-edition adventure for the holidays)!!! In addition, you can sign up for our email list, follow us on Facebook, and take advantage of at home creative activities you can do with your kids.

Please continue to check this web page and the FAQs below for updates. Any additional questions can be directed to CEGuest@crayolaexperience.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will you reopen?

Our attraction will be temporarily closed from Nov. 21 through Dec. 18 in response to a state issued emergency executive order requiring indoor entertainment venues to pause operations. We expect to reopen on Dec. 19, 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our reopening date accordingly. Please continue to check this web page for additional updates.

How will you communicate when you plan to reopen?

We will be excited to reopen so be assured we won’t be quiet about it. We will include the reopen date on our website, in posts on our Facebook and Instagram social channels, and in emails to guests who have signed up to receive communications from us. We also will notify the local media.

Will annual passes be extended?

Yes. Expiration dates for valid annual passes as of Nov. 21, 2020, will be automatically extended for 30 days. For example, if your pass expires on March 15, 2021, your new expiration date will be April 14, 2021. This new expiration date will be your new renewal date. There is no action needed on your part.

If you have a special circumstance and need assistance, email us at CEguest@crayolaexperience.com. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this uncertain time.

What if I have tickets that are about to expire?

Expiration dates for all valid, unused tickets as of Nov. 21. 2020, will be automatically extended for 30 days.

For example, if your ticket expires on March 15, 2021, your new expiration date will be April 14, 2021. There is no action needed on your part.

If you are unsure of your expiration date, or if you have a timed ticket for a visit scheduled while we are closed, just hold onto your ticket and contact us once we reopen. If you have a special circumstance and need assistance, email us at CEguest@crayolaexperience.com. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this uncertain time.

What if I have a timed ticket for a date during the closure?

No problem. Your ticket is valid for one year from issue date and is being extended an additional 30 days because of this temporarily closure. This is automatic and requires no action on your part. Just hold onto your ticket and contact us at CEGuest@crayolaexperience.com once we reopen so we can reschedule your visit.

Can I use my tickets at a different Crayola Experience location from what is listed on the tickets that I purchased or won?

Yes, however you will need to go to the admissions desk at the new location and exchange your tickets at the time of your visit.

Will you accept coupons that expired while you were closed?

Valid coupons that expire while our attraction is closed, beginning Nov. 22, 2020, will be honored for 30 days after we reopen.

Can I purchase tickets/annual passes now, and if I do will I also get an extension?

Yes, you can still purchase advance tickets and annual passes, however please be advised that all ticket reservations are subject to change and entry is subject to availability for that specific date/time. Rest assured, we will work with you to reschedule your visit if we are not yet open on the day you selected.

My child had a birthday while you were closed so we couldn’t take advantage of your free admission birthday offer. Can we still get a free admission when you reopen?

We’re delighted that you had planned to celebrate your child’s birthday with a visit to Crayola Experience. Despite the change in plans, we hope you all had a very special day. As a belated birthday gift, if your child’s birthday occurred while we were closed, we’re extending our free birthday admission offer for 90 days from the time we reopen. As always, you will need to present a valid ID with the child’s birth date at admissions when you come for the visit.

I have a group trip / birthday party scheduled on a date affected by the closure. What do I do?

We know that your party was excited to visit us and are disappointed in the delay. So are we. We will be happy to work with you to reschedule your visit as soon as we reopen. If you have an urgent matter that requires immediate attention, please email us at CEguest@crayolaexperience.com. We can’t wait to host your party for a day of creative fun.

Are you taking reservations for groups and parties?

Yes! At this time we are taking reservations for visits after Dec. 19, 2020. We invite you to review our offerings for group visits. If you already know what you want, please provide us with some basic information and we’ll give you a call back. Should our temporarily closure be extended, we'll work with you to reschedule your day of creative fun. We can't wait to see you!
